Ice cream headaches like you've never experienced.

Sure, we here at The Real Fitness Nerd are all jacked up for the Winter Olympics, but before we all get lost in the drama and excitement surrounding the world's finest athletes competing for little gold coasters, I wanted to show you an athlete who, in my opinion, might be a little bit finer.

The photo above is from a series in Surfer Magazine. The guy's name is Drew Meredith and he's surfing in New Jersey. It's winter. He's wearing at least a 5/4 wetsuit, gloves, booties and a hood. The water is 39-degrees. He had to walk through snow to get to that break. The coldest I've ever knowingly surfed is about 50-degrees, which isn't bad, but 39? That's Cold with a capital C, as in, "OH MY GOD! THIS IS SO COLD THAT MY TESTICLES JUST JUMPED INTO YOUR WETSUIT!"

And here's the deal. He's not competing with anyone. He'll get no sponsorships, no medals. When he's done, he doesn't get to party with the ladies Swedish ski team in the Olympic Village hot tub. He just does it because he loves to surf. That, in my opinion, is very fine indeed.

Although I'm sure appearing in Surfer Magazine doesn't suck.
